‘The Revenant’ & ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Lead Oscar Noms (Full List)
The nominations for the 88th Academy Awards are here with The Revenant leading the pack with 12 noms with Mad Max: Fury Road tailgating with 10 noms.
Surprisingly, out of the eight nominees for Best Picture, the critically-praised Carol fell short of the pack, as did Pixar’s masterful Inside Out. However, it’s good to see the Academy not giving a pass to ho-hum efforts Joy and The Good Dinosaur – both by past Oscar-darlings.
The 88th Academy Awards is on February 28th (Monday, February 29 local time) and will be hosted by Chris Rock.
