About Matakana Cinemas
Contact & About
Built in 2007, Matakana Cinemas boasts three unique theatres. The Tivoli theatre (114 seats) has one of the largest chandeliers in the Southern Hemisphere, the Paradiso (74 seats) has a ceiling adorned with 32,000 paper flowers, while the intimate Roxy (34 seats) is draped in deep-blue and grey fabrics for a boudoir feel.
The cinema’s food offering includes Eighthirty coffee, Ginelli and Sons ice cream, and locally baked counter-top cookies. The Vintry wine bar, adjacent to the cinema, serves Matakana wines, local beers and cocktails - along with nibbles - to take into the theatres.
Matakana Cinemas shows blockbuster releases alongside art house and independent titles, family movies and special screenings.
