Neil Finn's twin documentaries on his 7 Worlds project - a supergroup including Eddie Vedder, Ed O'Brien, Johnny Marr, Tim Finn and Jeff Tweedy. 7 Worlds Collide captures the 2001 St James Theatre concerts, while The Sun Came Out is a behind-the-scenes look at the Oxfam album recorded seven years later.
"7 Worlds Collide: In 2001, Neil Finn invited a collective of musicians, including Johnny Marr (The Smiths), Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), Ed O'Brien and Phil Selway (Radiohead) and Tim Finn, amongst others, to come to New Zealand, hang out and put on three very special shows at the gorgeous St James Theatre. It was a momentous event, and the full 130 minutes was captured forever.
"The Sun Came Out - 7 Worlds Again: Seven years later, Finn does it again - this time to record an album for Oxfam. He also invites Jeff Tweedy and co. (Wilco), K.T. Tunstall and a host of others to join him and most of the original '7 Worlds' line-up. Follows this amazing group of artists day and night for three weeks offering a unique insight into their song writing process." (Official Synopsis)
