A sexually explicit, unflinching look at a turbulent romantic relationship over the course of a decade, from the director of Child's Pose.
"Toma and Ana meet while studying literature. During their first flirtation over a conversation about Nietzsche, Ana suffers a panic attack. Toma comforts and reassures her, setting a pattern for their tumultuous relationship. Despite parental disapproval and general mayhem, the two marry and have a child. Toma continues the role of carer, revelling in the control he has, but when Ana overcomes her fears, Toma is the one who's lost. The film moves back and forth in time, as through the counsel of a psychotherapist and even a priest, Toma tries to make sense of his world." (Sydney Film Festival)
