Three stories of the supernatural are recounted in the first and only feature from indigenous artist and photographer, Tracey Moffatt.
"In the tradition of multi-part movies about ghosts, and especially evoking Masaki Kobayashi’s Kwaidan (1964), Bedevil tells three tales of the supernatural. In the first story, Mr. Chuck, Shelley (Diana Davidson), a white woman, and Rick (Jack Charles), an elderly Indigenous man, recall when the swampy area near where they live was haunted by the ghost of an American soldier. Story two, Choo Choo Choo Choo, flits between past and present as a woman recalls her life as a young wife (played by the director) when the railway track near where she lived was haunted by a blind girl. Finally, Lovin' the Spin I'm In is set in a small coastal town and depicts the haunting of a warehouse owned by a Greek-Australian (Lex Marinos)." (Sydney Film Festival)
