Fifties-era rom-com about a naive but stubborn cowboy (Don Murray, in an Academy Award-nominated role) who falls in love with a singer (Marilyn Monroe) and tries to take her away to get married, against her will.

The film was well-received by the public and critics alike, receiving several award nominations. Murray was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar, Monroe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes, and director Joshua Logan for a Golden Lion at Venice.
