In 1975 a group of Australian and South African surfers went to their sport's Mecca - Hawaii's North Shore of Oahu - hellbent on announcing themselves as the best surfers in the world. As stated in the trailer - "we wanted to be the most radical". Framed around the careers of World Champions-to-be Wayne 'Rabbit' Bartholomew, Shaun Tomson and Mark Richards, this documentary chronicles their two-year period of competitive and cultural clashes in Hawaii, their rise to the top, and how they began the cultural phenomenon that led to the birth of professional surfing. Narrated by Ed Norton.
