CSNY: Déjà Vu, directed by Bernard Shakey (aka Neil Young), intercuts concert footage of the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young 2006 US tour with a frank documentary record of how audiences and others in towns across America responded to the music and its message. Harmony reigns on stage, but in the streets we see a country divided. Though Young's political sympathies should hardly be a surprise to any of them - nor theirs to him - Atlanta fans who came along for a nostalgia fix are rendered apoplectic by, for example, the lyrics of "Impeach the President". Amidst the fear and loathing, Young rocks on, no more likely to stop baiting rednecks than he is to stop singing.
