Design For Living

Ernst Lubitsch screwball comedy from 1933 starring Miriam Hopkins as an American artist new to Paris who wins the hearts of George, also an artist (Gary Cooper), and Thomas, a playwright (Fredric March). Unable to choose between the two, they agree to live together as platonic flatmates. Although the film is based on Noel Coward’s play, only one line is used from the original: “For the good of our immortal souls!”
