House of 1000 Corpses

Rob Zombie's directorial debut, an over-the-top exploitation horror, sees a murderous family terrorise two young couples traveling the country in search of urban legends.

Set in the 1970s, two couples driving through Texas set off in search of the legendary Dr. Satan. En route to the tree from which he was hanged, the gang picks up a hitchhiking young woman, whose house they end up at after an unexpected burst tyre. There, dinner turns into torment, as the Firefly family amuse themselves with their new captives in a variety of grotesque ways.
