Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore star as mother and daughter in this teen romantic-drama about the trials and tribulations of high-school peer pressure, romance and friendship.

After 17-year-old Lola (Cyrus) is dumped, she attempts to blend romance and friendship with her pal and budding musician Kyle (Douglas Booth) - "He is so gorgeous it hurts". Meanwhile her mum, Anne (Moore), grows concerned with their distant relationship. Avoiding detection in a mum-free bubble of Facebook and text speak - Anne learns how wide their communcation gap has grown after 'accidentally' reading Lola's racy journal.

LOL is a remake of the filmmaker's own 2008 French film LOL (Laughing Out Loud).
