Maya the Bee – from the German books and animated TV series – gets her very own feature-length movie, aimed at younger kids. The English-language voice cast includes Kodi Smit-McPhee (ParaNorman) and Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook). An Australian-German co-production.

Maya - created way back in 1912 - is bored with the life of the hive and takes to the open air with mate Willy (Smit-McPhee) in search of adventure. They find it, in the form of hornets, moths, dung beetles spiders and a plot to steal away the Queen (Miriam Margolyes).
