Moshi Monsters is an online game and website for kids, in which over 87 million registered tykes have created virtual pet monsters to nuture and navigate their way around a virtual world, named Monstro City. This is the animated, song-filled movie adaptation.
The game's main characters - including Katsuma, Poppet and Mr Snoodle - race against the clock to to stop Dr Strangeglove and his incompetent sidekick Fishlips from pulverising the recently discovered Great Moshling Egg.
Following the website's success, developer Mind Candy have launched many spin-offs - from toys to music albums, from a monthly magazine to bath soap.
