Y2K-era teen road trip comedy starring Colin Hanks and Jack Black as brothers Shaun and Lance, who set off on a half-baked mission to revive Shaun's chances of attending Stanford University.

Shaun's (Hanks) dreams of becoming a writer and escaping his dysfunctional family are threatened when a distracted guidance counsellor sends in the wrong transcript, and his college application is denied. Determined to get in by any means necessary, Shaun heads to Stanford with drop-kick brother Lance (Black) and girlfriend Ashley (Schuyler Fisk), hoping to plead his case in person.
