The Hermit Of Treig

In 2012, I struck up a friendship with a remarkable man; a man who had chosen to step away from the trappings of modern society and live an off-grid existence for almost 40 years. His set up could easily be mistaken for something straight out of the Yukon, yet I found him much closer to home, in the Scottish Highlands. I was fascinated by his life story, his resilience, and the twinkle in his eyes. After 7 years of friendship, in January 2019 I began to document a compelling chapter of his life. Filming is almost complete and a feature length film will be released in 2021.
