The Message (Feng sheng)

Chinese war-time thriller set in 1942, Nanjing (Nanking). Following a series of assassination attempts on officials of the Japanese-controlled puppet government, Japanese spies gather a group of suspects in a mansion for questioning. A tense game of 'cat and mouse' ensues as Chinese code-breakers attempt to send out a crucial message while protecting their identities.
