Reaffirming his love of multi-stranded narrative, Oscar-winning writer-director Paul Haggis (Crash) examines three interconnected love stories that take place in Paris, New York and Rome. The character studies are inhabited by an A-list ensemble including Liam Neeson, Mila Kunis, James Franco, Adrien Brody and Olivia Wilde.
Michael (Neeson) is a writer who recently left his wife Theresa (Maria Bello), and embarks an on/off relationship with Anna (Wilde) - a woman who can't commit because of a terrible secret.
Julia (Kunis) has recently been charged with attempting to kill her son, a charge she denies. Her son is now in the custody of his father Rick (Franco) who is trying everything in his power to keep the boy away from her.
Sean (Brody), an American business man on a trip to Italy, falls for an Italian woman (Moran Atias) and is drawn into a plot involving her kidnapped daughter, Italian gangsters and a ransom.
