Flicks launches unique new cinema and streaming app
App users rejoice (and yes, download) – the new Flicks app is here!
Flicks has launched a new app, bringing together our unique combination of cinema listings, streaming guides and editorial opinion into a premium, one-stop shop mobile experience—download the app here!
It’s a mix already familiar to Flicks readers—like our website, the new app is made by movie and TV fans for movie and TV fans, bringing together our various content into one slick, ridiculously easy to use platform.
The Flicks app helps you find something good to watch and where to watch it:
Cinema: Find cinemas and movies playing near you, with session times and tickets
Streaming: What’s new and good, and which streaming service has it
Opinion: Recommendations, features and reviews from Flicks’ varied contributors
Like our website, the app also allows users to create watchlists of content and be notified about where and when they can watch movies and shows when they become available in cinemas or on streaming.
“We have built a platform that only movie and TV lovers could”, says Flicks CEO Paul Scantlebury. “It’s a beautifully designed and carefully considered app, if I don’t say so myself, built to help you discover your next great watch–in cinemas or at home. Our laser focus is on helping our users find something to watch where they can watch it.”
Since the onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic, an increased focus on covering streaming movies and shows has seen Flicks’ user numbers continue to grow. And now, with the international cinema box office increasing, the new Flicks app arrives at the perfect time as more and more people return to cinemas.
The Flicks app is available on iOS and Android phones, and is planned to release on iPad and tablets in the near future.
