How to watch Den of Thieves 2: Pantera in New Zealand
The meatiest meathead movie to ever meat (complimentary) is getting a richly-deserved sequel, and we are here for it. All of it.

Den of Thieves 2: Pantera is now playing in New Zealand cinemas.

What is Den of Thieves 2: Pantera about?
Following the events of the first film, which is like a Monster Truck version of Heat (again, complimentary) disgraced corrupt LA Sheriff Detective Big Nick O’Brien (you know who) teams up with his nemesis, wiley thief Donnie Wilson (Lil’ Cube) to take down another massive score. To my keen eyes, it looks like they’re riffing on the notorious Antwerp diamond heist, one of the most famous robberies in history. The film version will doubtless have more gunfights, explosions, and on-the-nose tough guy dialogue. We wouldn’t want it any other way.
The cast of Den of Thieves 2: Pantera
We’ve got (drumroll…) Gerard Butler as Nicholas “Big Nick” O’Brien; O’Shea Jackson Jr. as Donnie Wilson; Evin Ahmad as Jovanna; Salvatore Esposito as Slavko; Meadow Williams as Holly; Michael Bisping as Connor; Orli Shuka as Dushko; Cristian Solimeno; Nazmiye Oral as Chava; Giuseppe Schillaci as Moussa; Dino Kelly as Volko;Velibor Topic as Mirinko; Antonio Bustorff as Tamy; plus Ciryl Gane, Swen Temmel, Cristian Solimeno, and kickboxer Rico Verhoeven in support. Most of those names are attached to stuntmen and martial artists, which is always a mark of quality in this sort of thing.

Why we’re excited about Den of Thieves 2: Pantera
Completely unironically, we love this sort of thing. Sometimes you just want a meat ‘n’ potatoes tough guy action thriller, and big Gerry Butler is the undisputed king of the ring when it comes to that sort of thing. the OG was an absolute blast, the writer and director, Christian Gudegast, is back in the saddle, they pretty much had to make Gerry and Cube team up according to the rules of the genre, and we have no doubt this will be an absolute blast.
