What is Lupin season 3 about?
We find our hero living under the radar in Marseilles, having forced evil plutocrat (there are no other kinds) Hubert Pellegrini (Hervé Pierre) to confess to his crimes. however, he’s now a kind of modern day folk hero, and the press attention has been hard on his ex-wife, Claire Laurent (Ludivine Sagnier) and son, Raoul (Etan Simon). Undaunted, the suave sneak-thief resolves to fund their escape from Paris and the attention of the media – which will naturally involve stealing something extremely expensive and ridiculously well guarded.
The cast of Lupin season 3
In addition to Sy and Sagnier, we also get Soufiane Guerrab as police investigator Youssef Guedira, Shirine Boutella as Lieutenant Sofia, Antoine Gouy as our hero’s trusty gadgeteer and tech guy, and, in flashbacks, Mamadou Haidara as the young Assane/Lupin, as we learn how he turned to crime after the death of his father.

What are the critics saying about Lupin season 3?
Like the last two seasons, this third helping of French filching has met with rapturous critical acclaim, with Sy’s charismatic turn attracting high praise. Having said that, it’s been noted that this season does take a little time to find its feet and present Diop with a new mission after the climactic events of season two. Still, if that’s the price for more Lupin, we’ll happily pay it.
