How to watch Supersex season 1 in New Zealand

Now here comes a series of truly epic, mammoth, gargantuan proportions: the life and times of Italian porn legend Rocco Siffredi. Don’t pretend for a second you don’t know who he is.

How to watch Supersex season 1 in Australia.

All seven episodes of Supersex are streaming in New Zealand exclusively on Netflix right now.

What is Supersex season 1 about?

Hark to the tale of Rocco Antonio Tano, as the well hung wonder was first named, as he crawls out of crushing poverty to become the most well-known male porn star of his age. Created by Francesca Manieri (We Are Who We Are), the series opens with the Italian Stallion’s shock retirement in 2004 (don’t worry, he came back) before flashing back to his childhood in 1974, when the 10-year-old Rocco stumbled across a porno mag and the first filthy seeds were planted in his young mind.

From there we go on to trace his rise to smut superstardom and all the emotional tangles and pitfalls that inevitably entails. It’s also apparently a commentary on masculinity, sex-positivity, and even feminism, although how well it handles those themes may be in the eyes of the beholder.

Siffredi has stated that while, yes, the series is based on his life, Manieri has her own take, and maybe we shouldn’t take anything at face (or facial) value. But expect a lot of sex. Star Alessandro Borghi maintains he shot 50 sex scenes over the course of the production. Sounds exhausting.
