Taika Waititi’s highly anticipated Hunt for the Wilderpeople is set to have its premiere on the 30th of March in over 40 independent New Zealand cinemas (full list here). Not only do these select cinemas premiere the film, the preview screenings include their own special introduction from director Taika Waititi.
But while the big multiplexes like Event Cinemas are getting in on the action with a preview screening as well, independent cinemas across New Zealand are going to get more out of it thanks to My Cinema – an independently organised promotion exclusive to independent cinemas that will give cinemas goers the chance to win a family trip for four to Rotorua to go on their own wilderness adventure thanks to Madman, Piki Films, My Cinema, Destination Rotorua and Air New Zealand.
