NZ box office report: Moviegoers overwhelmingly accept Mission: Impossible

Our weekly guide to what’s happening at the Aotearoa box office – thanks to Numero.
Surprising absolutely no one, Tom Cruise brought moviegoers back to cinemas in their droves this week with Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. Mirroring the unconventional Saturday release of Dead Reckoning, that once again proved no handbrake to box office performance—in fact, takings were almost identical.
Another long-running franchise makes a strong comeback with second-placed Final Destination: Bloodlines, with MCU pic Thunderbolts* in third spot and Jason Isaacs/Gillian Anderson drama The Salt Path fourth.
