Sean Penn hasn’t wielded a handgun as a hero for almost a decade, but does so as The Gunman opposite fellow acting heavyweights Idris Elba (Pacific Rim), Ray Winstone (Sexy Beast) and Javier Bardem (Skyfall). In this action thriller (from the director of Taken) Penn plays a veteran assassin ready to retire – but the organisation that he works for has no intention of letting him go.
