Tickets are on sale for 4K screenings of Stanley Kubrick’s masterful horror The Shining, playing at Event Cinemas across the North Island 25 October.
The retro screenings play two weeks before the release of Doctor Sleep, an adaptation of Stephen King’s follow-up novel starring Ewan McGregor as an adult Danny. There’s been no critical word on the new film yet, but with Hush and Gerald’s Game director Mike Flanagan at the wheel, it certainly holds promise.
