We’re well and truly allowing ourselves to get stupidly excited about the December 17 release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In what we’re guessing will be the first of many awesome cinema events marking our return to a galaxy far, far away, Matakana Cinemas have unveiled a marathon screening schedule of J.J. Abrams’ film, stretching for almost 100 hours – meaning that for a few days you can see The Force Awakens at any conceivable time of day or night. They’re cleverly hinting that overseas Star Wars fans should make their way here too… Check out their full media release below:

About Matakana Cinemas: Since opening in 2007, Matakana Cinemas has been the only cinema in the Matakana region of New Zealand. Its three cinemas are renowned in the region for their comfort and beauty: the Tivoli with its gigantic twinkling chandelier (one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere), the Paradiso with its domed ceiling covered in 32,000 paper roses, and the elegantly draped Roxy. Locals Dan Paine and Anna Didsbury have owned the cinema since 2010.
