Lilly and Lana Wachowski’s iconic sci-fi blockbuster The Matrix turns 20 this year. To celebrate, select Event Cinemas in Te Ika-a-Māui (the North Island) will play a remastered 4K version of the classic film on Friday night, 23rd August.
As a bonus bit of info, the Wachowskis are working on a new Matrix film. Is it a direct sequel? A spin-off, perhaps? We know one thing: don’t call it a bloody reboot.
