Tickle us pink: David Farrier returns to cinemas with a new stranger-than-fiction doco
David Farrier, journalist and filmmaker behind Tickled and Dark Tourist, returns with a new stranger-than-fiction documentary about car clamping and full-on psychological warfare.
Mister Organ follows Farrier’s investigation of an odd case of car clamping that’s been creating havoc in his neighbourhood. The clamper is revealed to be Michael Organ and as Farrier delves deeper into his background, this seemingly simple case turns into a tension-filled three-year-long investigation—unearthing a trail of multiple court cases, inflated claims of royal bloodlines, and ruined lives.
Mister Organ has been selected to have its world premiere next month at the prestigious Fantastic Fest 2022 in Austin, Texas. Aotearoa audiences can get their eyes on this true cat-and-mouse story when it releases in New Zealand cinemas from the 10th of November.
Ant Timpson (Come to Daddy) is Executive Producer on Mister Organ, with Emma Slade (Nude Tuesday) and Alex Reed (The Girl on the Bridge) also producing.
