If you are a writer, director, producer or script developer with a track record don’t miss this opportunity to hone your creative practice and advance your career. The FilmUp Programme is back and includes an exciting new strand.

FilmUp Mentorship continues to provide filmmaker participants 20 hours of one-on-one mentorships with acclaimed practitioners. 2013 attracted esteemed mentors including writer Neil Cross (Spooks, Luther), director Rolf de Heer (Ten Canoes, Bad Boy Bubby) and producer of over 20 feature films, Tim White.

Script to Screen has also announced an exciting second strand, FilmUp Script Development, especially designed to up-skill those of you working with writers developing screenplays, whether you be producers, script editors, or directors.

Experienced coach and story consultant, Brita McVeigh, will be at the helm of this strand, working with participants to hone their story skills and process when collaborating with writers.

“She’s a genuine collaborator. Every project is different and Brita’s skill is that she knows how to find the weak spots and strengthen them. She knows how to work closely on the script with the writer/director, or in rehearsal with the cast, to enhance the vision – that’s how she worked with Taika on Boy.” – Ainsley Gardiner

Applicants are able to submit applications for both strands if eligible.

Applications close Monday 3rd March 2014.
