Watch the new Jurassic World short film that came out of nowhere
Universal just released an eight-minute Jurassic World short film titled Battle at Big Rock, and it’s well worth a watch.
Set after the events of Fallen Kingdom (currently streaming on NEON), the short follows a family living the woodland life in a caravan while dinosaurs roam free in America. They figured the area would be safe. They figured wrong.
Battle at Big Rock‘s directed and co-written by Colin Trevorrow, who comes back to the franchise for 2021’s Jurassic World 3 after helming 2015’s Jurassic World.
Poor ol’ Trevorrow’s been on the ropes for the last few years with his previous film The Book of Henry getting critically slaughtered and his chances of directing Star Wars 9 going down the crapper. However, if this tight and enjoyable short is anything to go by, Trevorrow could bounce back with Jurassic World 3.
