When will Loki season 2 be released in New Zealand?
You can’t keep a good trickster god down. Asgardian mischief-maker Loki (Tom Hiddleston) has been a high-value element of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ever since he made his big-screen debut way back in 2011’s Thor. The occasionally heroic, always untrustworthy cosmic scoundrel even got his own eponymous TV series, which is getting another at-bat as Loki season two arrives in New Zealand when it premieres on Disney+ on October 6.
As you may recall, the first season of Loki ended with the creation of the Multiverse, an event that has had repercussions throughout the MCU (and seemingly all of pop culture) ever since. Season two picks up that thread, with Loki, according to the official synopsis, finding himself “in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15, and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes, and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.”
Hiddleston is back, of course, along with Owen Wilson as TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius; Sophia D. Martino as Sylvie, a variant of Loki from another timeline; Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer; Wunmi Mosaku as TVA heavy hitter Hunter B-15; Tara Strong as the voice of animated TVA mascot/logo/weird thing Miss Minutes, and Jonathan Majors as yet another variation of Kang, Victor Timely, who first cropped up at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
New to the Loki crew is man of the moment Ke Huy Quan, here playing a TVA archivist after making his multidimensional bones in the acclaimed Everything Everywhere All at Once.
No further plot details have emerged – heck, we don’t even have a trailer yet! Still, that gives you plenty of time to circle back and check out Quantumania – seems like a lot of you slept on that one.
