Last week we asked you which New Zealand-made kids picture book should be a film. Unsurprisingly, the Lynley Dodd classic Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy crushed it with three quarters of the votes. Having said that, there’s still plenty of interest in a movie adaptation of the award-winning Old Hu-Hu, which came second, as well as a film iteration of one of Maui’s classic adventures.
