Written and directed by Julia Ducournau, whose previous film, her 2016 debut Raw, marked her as one to watch, Titane doubles down on Ducournau’s talent for unsettling the audience.
The details are perhaps best to discover for yourself—suffice to say, there’s a car accident, a metal plate inserted into a child’s head, an erotic dancer, body/machine modification, a case of mistaken identity, a serial killer and more.
