Back from its heavily-attended NZIFF screenings, Decision to Leave returns to Aotearoa cinemas from October 27.
The crime mystery film from master filmmaker Park Chan-wook (Oldboy), who won Best Director at Cannes 2022, follows a detective investigating a man’s death in the mountains who meets the dead man’s mysterious wife in the course of his dogged sleuthing.
In his gushing review from Cannes, Rory Doherty called it “a visual feast… from beginning to end, you’re reminded of the unparalleled dynamism that fills the director’s work; with impactful sound design, gorgeous framing, and genius edits.”
