Cult Japanese anime cyberpunk action returns to cinemas October 22, with Akira newly remastered for 4K.
Set in the then-future of 2019, Neo-Tokyo has built on the ruins of a city destroyed in a mysterious blast. Divided between a powerful and wealthy upper class and the violent punks and motorcycle gangs who haunt its slums, chaos has been on the verge of erupting in Neo-Tokyo—but no-one could have foreseen the added impact of a secret government research project into psychic abilities.
Returning to the big screen (including IMAX!), Akira is set to blow minds again.
