Emmy-winner Colman Domingo reunites with the director of Ma Rainey's Black Bottom for this historical biopic on gay civil rights activist Bayard Rustin, the man who helped Martin Luther King Jr. (Aml Ameen, I May Destroy You) and others organise the 1963 March on Washington.

Travelling back to the places where he grew up, Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black (Milk) explores his childhood roots, gay identity and close relationship with his mother, who overcame childhood polio, abusive marriages and Mormon dogma, while becoming Black’s emotional rock and, ultimately, the inspiration for his activism.
