Animated adaptation of Robert C. O'Brien's 1971 children's novel Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. To save her ill son, a field mouse seeks the aid of a colony of super-intelligent rats with whom she has a deeper link than she ever suspected. This is the feature debut of director Don Bluth, his next films would be more 80's animated classics in An American Tail and The Land Before Time.
